FE modeling of bearings

Due to our many years of experience in the analysis of rolling bearing systems, we are familiar with the following Tasks:

  • Automated creation of bearing models with inner ring, outer ring and rolling elements (ABAQUS plug-in)
  • Integration of models in shaft systems. Analysis of the load distribution in the bearing and the stresses in the surrounding components
  • Analysis of bearing cages (e.g., stressing due to rolling element contact forces, snap function)

Automated model creation

Our plugin offers as an extension for ABAQUS the fast creation of bearing models. This tool allows the calculation of stiffness characteristics taking into account the rolling element profiling (specification of the profile drop function), the automated creation of the bearing ring geometries (inner ring, outer ring) and the positioning of the nonlinear spring characteristics in the circumferential direction and their connection to the raceways.
